PROGRAMS: Civic Engagement & Social Justice
The
Urban League engages customers and stakeholders in advocating for
improved public policy to achieve social justice, becoming an expert
source of information about the factors affecting African Americans. We
utilize the advocacy efforts of our auxiliaries to promote civic
engagement. Finally, our actions support the voice of the National Urban
League and its efforts.

Federation
of Block Units — The Federation of Block Units is
the oldest self-help grass roots organization in St. Louis with a proven
track record of promoting self-sufficiency and strong communities
throughout the metropolitan region.
Young Professionals — The Urban League Young Professionals
is the Urban League’s vehicle for engaging and grooming future
generations in the Urban League “Movement.”
Guild
— The Urban League Guild consists of community volunteers, civic and
political, and business and professional women who are committed to
improving the quality of life for people in need, as well as those in
the community.
NULITES Youth Initiative — Founded on the premise that young
people are our most valuable resource, NULITES is designed to reflect
the positive aspects of youth in today's society while providing
opportunities for personal and leadership development.
