PROGRAMS:
Education Quality and Equality
The Urban
League advocates for educational equality for African Americans and
others while providing programs that ensure early skills achievement,
equal access to secondary educational opportunities and parental
involvement.
Head Start
— The Urban League provides direct Head Start services to St. Louis
City low-income, pre-school children and their families.
GED Services
— Classes are offered to assist youth and adults in
achieving their General Education Diploma.
College (Postsecondary) Scholarships
— Each year, students from a broad spectrum of interests are awarded scholarships from the
Urban League.
Vaughn Cultural Center — Urban League celebrates and
promotes awareness of African American history and culture through
exhibits, story telling and special programs at the Urban League.
