Young Professionals

- Urban League Young Professionals (ULYP), formerly Progressive
Young Adults, is the Urban League’s vehicle for engaging and
developing future generations in the Urban League “Movement.”
- ULYP consists primarily of African-Americans between the ages of
21-40 from all walks of life and professions who believe in the
mission of the Urban League.
- The ULYP agenda includes: Education and Youth Empowerment,
Economic Empowerment, Health and Quality of Life, Civic Engagement
and Leadership Empowerment, and Civil Rights and Racial Justice
Empowerment.
- Personal/Professional Development Seminars are part of
every ULYP monthly meeting.
- To continue the tradition of networking and fostering the spirit
of bonding in the movement, ULYPs attend a monthly informal
gathering called “The Bevy.” This informal series has included
family-friendly outings for bowling, ice skating, miniature golf,
History Museum concerts and a trip to the National Urban League
Conference the “Influencer Summit” in Washington D.C.
